If theres one thing Souf Paw has more of than any artist in the game its drive and determination. Comming from a little country town north of Dallas, Souf Paw has been faced with many adversities, from racist teachers and neighbors doing everything they could to make sure he didn't get ahead, hatin azz niggaz tryna block his hustle, to crooked cops locking him up for trying to make a little money and keeping his product for their owne personal use. "Eh what can I say? Thats just how the world works, or atleast my world. I hate the way things go around here but u can't beat it so you just have to think smarter." The hustle is in him and anybody that is associated with S.P. will tell you the same, which makes perfect sense why he chose to name his label Hard Hustle Records. " I just felt like it defined who we are and what were trying to do. A hustle doesn't neccessarily have to mean selling drugs, a hustle can be anything from selling clothes, to flipping cars and houses; shit as long as theres money in it I'm there. Now with the rap game currently saturated with hustle rappers you wonder what sets Souf Paw apart from the rest? If you ask me, Ide say that he actually accepts being a rapper and takes his music more seriously than just another hustle. "I grew up on music, its something that I love, I actually have a passion for the art. I'm always rapping in my head or making beats to me its like water to the body, Ide die if I went deaf. I was raised on alot of old school soul and funk like sade, isley brothers, and george clinton and the P. Funk all stars so I have alot of musical influence. Pluss being from the burbs I was introduced to alot of cool rock bands that I fuck with. But when my pops first played me Tupac's all eyes on me it was on! I quickly fell in love with hip hop and started learning to rap by learning other people's songs and eventually developing my owne style after I realized I can write about my life" With that passion and drive to get better and better Souf Paw eventually quit writing and learned the art of composing tracks in his head. "I call it the jigga method, because he was the first rapper I heard of that had the ability to do that. I was like 'fuk it i want to be the best, and if the best can do it I need to too; that was about 4 years ago, I haven't picked up a pen or pad since.." With his album set to release the 4th quarter of 08 and mixtape installments to be released every two months before that date, Souf Paw is definantly out to prove that his hustle can carry Dallas and all of Tx on its back. "Fuck it, I'm here to do it big, I want more than regional recognition, I want to be the best in the game. I live by the words of one of my fav. rappers 'I'm not a player in the game, I'm a mua' Fuckin Franchise!!"LOVEMYFLASH CODE
