My name is Chris.
That's me on the right.
You might know me from my band The Ultrasounds . The New Big 3, however, is my solo recording project named for the style in which it was originally recorded (piano trio). The name also makes for a sly reference to the motor city! Since I've become more ambitious with my projects I've been playing more and more instruments for the recordings.

Pink and White
The last serious collection of music I recorded from mid-2008. A good mix of covers, standards, and original tunes recorded in my basement.Things That Happen 'Round Midnight
Experiments in sound from early 2007. This is more or less program music: each track details a different part of a narrative. Everything was done in my room without effects.
Throat Full of Blood
I had a brief stint making music with the trial version of fruity loops. Three track single features Throat Full of Blood, Cardiod, and Sarabande.
Don't Get Right Just Yet
A disc of low-fi stuff that I made late 2006 early 2007, with a more stripped down sound since i didn't have access to my drum-kit.
You Barely Know Me
My third complete album from summer 2006. When I started work on Songs About Feelings, I wanted it to be almost entirely original material, but this disc is mostly my interpretations of music I like.
Songs About Feelings
The first full length album made almost back to back with You Barely Know me early in 2006. My first serious experience with mixing and recording a lot of instruments.
Live From My Room
A live recording I made in my room at Michigan State in spring of 2005. It's not particularly good but I did all the takes between 12 and 5am and everything happened in the room while I was playing.
