My first love in life is music.I love all kinds of music,but am especially drawn to acoustic,Americana,and REAL country...not the stuff you hear on the radio.I have been playing since i was 18.I write,i paint,i play and sing. That is what gets me by in this crazy world.I am always open to meet new people,and play music at every opportunity. I was an orig member of a HonkyTonk band"The Palominos" that specializes in original music of the 60's honky tonk style..keeps your feet moving.We had a great run over the three years we played together,preaching the gospel of REAL country music.Nominated for a San Diego music award in 2007.I'm currently working on other projects,keeping my eyes open for the next opportunity to create good music. I was also a member of the "Neverly Bro" with partner Steve Roache.We were an acoustic based Americana band that had been playing in and around San Diego for 5-years... My first band..The Merle Jones Band hit town in 1979,playing country rock to surfer dudes in Ocean Beach...from then on I was hooked on playing live,enjoying sharing good country music with all kinds of people. The best comment after a gig came from a 20 something,slightly drunken surfer guy who exclaimed"I HATE COUNTRY MUSIC...BUT YOU GUYS ROCK"..i FIND ALOT OF PEOPLE think THEY DON'T LIKE COUNTRY...UNTIL THEY HEAR THE REAL DEAL My other true love is the mountains.I live and work on a ranch in the mountains,and feel like my dream came true.When you get up every day and WANT to go to work,something is right. I love nothing better than backpacking into the wilderness and loosing myself in nature.I live in San Diego and am always looking for new people to play,and experiment with music.
