About Me

Hey there! My name is Katie...first of I all I hope that you are having a blessed day, and thanks for logging on to my space. To give you a small glipse of who I am growing into.... I love God. I have stuggled with many things over the past 10 years, but I realize now that is was such a struggle because I was trying to do everything by myself. I now realize that I didn't have near enough strength or insight to handle any of it alone. I have grown up in a Christian family, but within the past year I have really developed a relationship with God. I trust Jesus and the promises that He made. I see that when I have been obedient to God and put Him first, that he really does take care of me. Trusting a person is one thing, but knowing that you can trust God and that He's got your back is a totally different thing. With His strength in me, and the knowledge and truth He gives to me, I am able to stand each day and push through fears and doubts. I am a single mom, and I feel that one day the Lord will allow me to home school my daughter. I would love to take her to different countries while our family shares the Word of God. I believe this would allow her to see what life is really like, and allow her to learn first hand from living in different cultures. I have traveled inside of the country, and I have had the opportunity to travel to Australia and Mexico. I expect to go many more places in the future. I pray that you have a safe and blessed day!

My Interests

I enjoy traveling and seeing different parts of God's world including the amazing landscape and animals that He has created. I love worshiping God, spending time with my family, going to church, making new friends, spending time outside, watching movies and eating pizza, I enjoy trying new food, and I truly love showing His love...the love of Jesus...to other people by serving them

I'd like to meet:

In all seriousness, I want to meet Jesus. I want to see with my eyes who it is that loves me so much, and see who has been pleading my case with God all of these years...and I want to feel him hug me. I don't have my eyes fixed on any one person that I would like to meet, I just try to keep focused so I meet who God intends for me to meet.

Music:

I mostly have Christian music, praise and worship. I listen to it all of the time...home, car, work. I try to have praise music playing in my house constantly. I believe that God's Angels inhabit the places where praises are being offered to God...and I want my house covered.

Movies:

I like all types of movies, but I can do without the gory/killer movies. My daughter and I have watched Narnia a few times. A Night with the King was great. I also like comedies, romantic comedies, history based movies, science fiction, and suspense. I like trying to figure out what is going to happen...so any movies that make me think are great. And no, I'm not one of those people who will tell the end and ruin it for some one else.

Television:

I don't usually have time to watch television. When I do I like to see what's on Animal Planet, History Channel, HGTV, TCT, and I won't lie...I have to check out the cartoons too.

Books:

Within the past few years I started reading more. I have the most interest in books that help me grow by learning more about God, myself and others. My Utmost for His Highest(Oswald Chambers); Break the Bondage Barrier (Steve Sampson); The Prayer that Changes Everything (Stormie Omartian); When God Writes Your Love Story (Eric and Leslie Ludy); Prayer of Jabez, The Dream Giver, and A Life God Rewards (Bruce Wilkinson)are books that I have read over the past couple of years.
