Monique “Nique†Kearson was born in Jacksonville, NC on July 9, 1986. While still young she moved to New Haven, CT to be with her family. Her stepfather was and currently is in the United States Marine Corp so she has grown to became a military brat traveling all over the world.She has lived in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri as well as Okinawa, Japan where she graduated from High School. Nique currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina where she devotes a good amount of time to her music as she can. She currently is finishing out her last year in college. She is an Information Systems Engineering major at Johnson C. Smith University.With a full-time job, full schedule in college, and her music. Many wonder how she maintains but she does and does it well. She is a determined and driven artist out to prove that a female can do anything that a male can as she says “if not betterâ€.She is motivated by the people around her. Especially her mother (Regina Green) she keeps her going and supports her in everything she does. She is an only child that has a lot to say. She is young, smart, educated, and a go-getter.She currently has one mix tape out (JP Volume 1:My Calling) and another on the way (ThA TaKeOvA).
