K-No is a hip hop artist from Laurinburg North Carolina with a unique style and flow that grabs the attention of all audiences. “To put out records that sell and music that tells” is the motto of this aspiring rapper. Influenced by old school and early 90's hip hop and R&B he made his name by rapping around his school and local parties. The name K-No is an abbreviation of the name Kid Notorious which was dropped after recording 100 songs and wining 100 battles. The name does not mean crack and isn’t related to drugs in any way even though the music will have you hooked. An educated artist would be the choice words to describe K-No. Style and flow along with lyrics are the foundations that make the artist K-No a sure thing when it comes to longevity in the music industry.
The newest project of K-No is the album entitled “The Phenom”; this is just an introduction to particular style this artist poses. The album is doing well, promotions wise K-No has performed in a number of places. Some of these places include “Summer Jam 2007” “Club Palace” “Club Glow” “Club 910” “Raleigh Arts & Creative Center” as well as local clubs in the Fayetteville Durham Charlotte area. Not to mentions radio appearances such as WXDU Durham 88.7, WLGX (106.7 FM), and WZFX Foxy 99. As long as time progresses K-No will always push to get better and release new music to the public. The album “The Phenom” was made to give people a change from the standard dance instructional song craze.
The collaboration list of K-No isn’t a short one but the artist worked with most frequently is an up and coming producer named C-Rock. K-No meet C-Rock (real name Corey Hope) in a general music class ever since then they have been making music together. K-No also does a good part of his collaborations with bands and artist over seas such as Australia, Poland, Germany, and the UK. Working with numerous people along with the new album “The Phenom” is the first step in K-No’s carrier development plan. The many groups K-No works with locally and over sea’s have their own particular fan bases, because of this K-No’s sound is heard by all types of music lovers. As opposed to just releasing an individual album alone with limited listener K-No draws more avid listeners instead of casual fans.
