what's a ghostbeat?
The name ghostbeat is taken indirectly from the book African Rhythms and African Sensibility by sociologist/master drummer John Miller Chernoff. His intense studies of African music described certain tribe's belief that all music is a gift from God whose drum provides the pulse of all music. Out of respect, they don't play over what they call God's drum. paraphrased, it's ghostbeat.
