Las Bibas From Vizcaya is Dolores de Las Dores, Marisa Touch-Fine and Dj George M,now lives between Barcelona and Amsterdam.
The idea behind Las Bibas From Vizcaya is to have fun, no matter what. The lyrics are extremely catchy, funny, full of gay slangs, and they talk about peculliar things, such as make-up, wigs, ugly drag queens, parties, men, sex... mostly sung in Portuguese/Spanish, some lyrics have even a small touch of bad taste, like their smash hit single Toda Cagada.
The music is a mix of electro, house, tribal, funk, and pop, creating songs that are specially made for the dancefloor. If Madonna can confess herself to her dancefloor, so can we!
Las Bibas loves the gay culture, its divas, its slangs, its clubs, its glamour. And they love to celebrate that in the form of their music.
The project often includes special guest vocalists on its tracks, like Brazilian nightclub freak performer Alisson Gothz.. Gothz is one of the most famous faces in the Brazilian nightlife and the alternative art circuit. For the past ten years Gothz has been re-inventing himself as a walking piece of art, with his great and absurd personas and looks. He enchants the audience with his live bombastic performances on stage. Alisson Gothz began hosting parties five years ago, and started to perform small pocket shows around the same year. His unique style and strong stage presence made him the number one club performer in South America. In the year 2000 he was voted the Nightclub Personality Of The Year by the readers of Erika Palomino's (Brazil's biggest fashion journalist) weekly column at the Folha De Sao Paulo newspaper. Alisson is also involved with photography and design, writing articles for several magazines and web sites, including the Bible of Style The Blitz Kids (www.geocities.com/theblitzkids) and is currently working on several art projects to be released shortly.
Las Bibas From Vizcaya have already released a lot of singles and remixes all by themselves, always using the Internet as the main distribution channel in the marketing of their products. The project has a huge follow-up on the Internet, with a few fan clubs and websites dedicated to them.
One of the coolest things about Las Bibas is the incredibly funny artwork they create and display together with their music. By using a collage of funny and weird images with absurd subtitles, they bring even more fun and humour to the songs.
