About Me

Well...Here's the story...Born and raised in Plainfield Illinois, went to Plainfield High School, graduated in 1988 and then went to spend the next few years in Macomb at Western Illinois University, where he eventually graduated with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Music Theory and Compostition. He plays several instruments, he started with the Saxophone at the age of 10. During high school and college, He taught himself to play bass guitar, guitar, drums, and some keyboards. In addition he has pulled double duty by singing lead vocals and playing bass in bands since 1991.As far as musical influences, his biggest influence has been KISS. He discovered them at age 6 and nothing has been the same since. He has been fortunate enough to have been able to see them live several times over the years, and luckier still to have been able to meet them on a couple of occasions. Being as versitle a musician as he is, various people have inspired his music, among them are Frank Zappa, John Coltrane, Rush, Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Victor Wooten, Thelonious Monk, Shoenberg, and Jon Schaffer. He's been playing in bands since 1988, most of that spent with one band, Inkognito (spelled with a 'k' so not to be confused with the 5 billion other bands named Incognito), which he had from his later high school years until after he was out of college. Inkognito broke up in 1999 after 19 different lineups, and then he moved to Miami. Since his arrival, he has played with Citizen Bane, Stone Monkey, Higher Voltage, Mr. Sinister, One Girl Inc., The Blue Collar Boys, Southern Drawl, and Train Of Thought. He is now in the process of getting a new band together to start playing metal again. In the meantime, he's recorded 6 solo albums in his home studio "Squirkett Sound South," and he plans to make these available sometime this year. He'll also be playing shows to promote the albums.Champaigne corks flew in 2004 as Tim completed a 'studio band' project that he and his best friend Tom called Conspiracy Inc. It's been a labor of love for both of them. It has had to be squeezed for the last 9 years between work, weddings, births, bands and gigs. As yet, there are no plans to perform any of it live, as Tim lives in Florida and Tom lives in California. Tim also composes classical and jazz music as well. His current project is working on a 'quartet of quartets,' and a jazz suite for a small group. From 2006-2007 Tim was the bassist and singer of Miami based progressive metal band Train Of Thought. The band broke up during the summer of 2007, and Tim is spending time working on solo projects at the moment...
