Alex Dean consists of two keyboardists that have been passing each other for over 20 yrs and never knew each other. Traveling on two different roads these two grew up 3 blocks from each other. Knowing the same people never yet never working with the other. Then the day came when Alex (Robert Williford) needed a sub for a show, and someone mentioned this keyboardist named Chris Luckett (Dean). Their first meeting was odd, Alex talked about how when he first heard Dean play he decided to cancel his trip he said there was no way this guy was going to step into position. The two was able to laugh about this later.A couple of months later Alex started working on a new project and needed another keyboardist that had a fresh sound unlike his own he immediately thought of Dean. When the two got together and started talking they knew that this was no accident their union will ..s of magic.Alex Dean worked with several great musicians through out St. Louis over the past five years, and for the last 3 years they have working on their own project "Elements of Magic". Though out the recording of this two CD complication the duo had to over come many obstacles.At the beginning of 2006 the two sat back and decided that the CD had been completed, and it was time for the world to hear Alex Dean, but then tragedy hit home. Dean began to get really ill spending most of this year in the hospital. Then early one Monday morning in May God called him home. It brings me sadness to know that Dean will not be able to see the day "Elements of Magic" will be released. Even though Dean is no longer here with us I know that he would like Alex Dean to carry on. Therefore I am glad to present you with "Elements of Magic"A-
