Born as Ivy Williams and raised in Tallahassee, FL, Ivy Black is the daughter of Ivey L. Williams III and Marie Rutherford Williams. At the age of seven (7) she began teaching herself the piano, and with assistance from her mother, she started writing original music. Her early music consists of worship songs and silly love songs.
As she has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, her songs have matured into a depth that even she is surprised by.
Ivy Black is now a part of the Blacknova Collective.
"My biggest dream is to see God work through me, in Love. My passion for music, people, and Him supersede everything else that I thought mattered to me. I'm excited to see where He is taking music and me in the next couple of years."
