Jamblin is a Reggae band with a SPECIFIC MESSAGE: Human beings are to stand Self-Responsible to transcend ALL LIMITATION and to ONcE and for ALL STOP the cycles of ILLUSION as SEPARATION that we have accepted and allowed ourSELVES to exist within and as.To do so, Self-Forgiveness within and as Self-Honesty is the the key to have us SELF-REAL-I-ze WHO WE ARE as LIFE, Equal and One with and as ALL.COMMON SENSE is to be LIVED HERE as we PHYSICALLY apply ourselves to DO what is required as we STAND aware and present of each and every single BREATH to stop the MIND (ourselves) as ALL thoughts, feelings and emotions which are, in fact, our system of limitation/enslavement. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Roots Reggae Music with a twist is what has been driving THE MessAge a-round (at a time) in the UK. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------Jamblin began in 2005 as a four piece roots reggae band with Joao Jesus on vox and guitar, Kerry Edwards on drums and percussion, Brad Cush on lead guitar and James Hill on bass. All members are students or graduates of the Academy of Contemporary Music and have all bring different influences into the melting pot that is Jamblin. The strong African feel comes from the two brothers members of the band, Kerry and Stacey Edwards. Kerry is responsible for the funky one drop grooves and African influenced percussion. Replacing Brad Cush at the beginning of 2007, Stacey Edwards, with a funky African feel, became the new lead guitarist bringing tasteful melodies and rhythm patterns, as well as sing-able solos. It is impossible to miss his brilliancy within his musical self-expression with the guitar as the vehicle. On Bass, Sir James Hill has approached Jamblin in a very Jazz like manner, helping to create the rhythm sections taste full feel. The heart behind the harmonies is Abi Evans, with her soulful voice and spontaneous stage expression she helps to bring the colourful vibe in each performance. The "master" on the keys is Andrew Ford, who is a recent addition to the band recently joining in 2008 giving full body to the rhythm section, also bringing his influence of electronic and dance music, providing the programmed samples. Sebastian on the trombone complements the whole sound with melodies and counter-melodies which go side by side with the guitar and vocal parts. Lead vocalist João Jesus, with a long history of reggae influence and experience, keeps a steady skank on the guitar to emphasis the Reggae groove, and his “soft and speech like manner of singing are the main characteristics of his distinct voiceâ€. His lyrics are full of insight and realizations that will support those within their processes of Self-Realization who are willing to HEAR and SEE, to thus LIVE the WORDS shared within the songs – ultimately this is the whole reason for the existence of JAMBLIN --- THE WORDS that are sang. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ All together, the band crates the music in a very contemporary jam style to establish the original sound and vibe that is the Jamblin band and brand. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Jamblin began to create their reggae vibe exposing the world’s deception within the lyrical content to spread the word of oneness and equality. Their compositions are a fusion of roots reggae and a strong lyrical message. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ SEE BLOG for further AS-STANDING of what JAMBLIN STANDS AS. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------In-JOY the MUSIC and keep SPREADING your-SELF! -- JAM IT! lol
