Here are some bands You might want to try out if your a newcoming metalhead. If your already a veteran, these should be very familiar faces.
My heroes consist of many many drummers, and the few who stood out above the rest are the following:
Neil Peart - He plays with heart and soul, and his finesse on the drums has made me continually try harder and harder to achieve my maximum.
Derek Roddy - The speed and accuracy of his hits are a large part of the drummer i would like to achieve someday. While his jazz and blues background play an important part of his finesse, his metal side and the velocity of his strikes are enough to make one quit drumming, but not me.
George Kollias (aka the pedaler) - George is a large reason why i want to tighten my bass drum and kick techniques. His feet are much faster than i would have ever expected, and with it, i choose to tighten my ground control, and get to be at the level that he has achieved hopefully.
