Started all crying back in 1975.. 15 years later he discovered house & techno music which took over his life completely. He soon realized that the music he loved came from city's like Detroit & Chicago. In that time it was hardly possible to find that kind of music at the local record shop's in Sweden, so he and close friend Jeff Bennett started to import records on their own.As the interest of the music grew stronger and stronger, the plans of a recordstore of their own were soon to be realised. In 1994 Jimi & Jeff opend up the very first recordstore in Malmoe/Sweden which speciallized only in electronic music. It was called Cosmic One Records and was an instant success! This also came with the opening of record label's such as: Just A Groove Records, Frosty Music, Evil Deception, Azurite, Dubwise to name a few... Since then Jimi has become a true globetrotter living in Ibiza, Barcelona, Oslo & Bangkok where he organised and played at hundreds of music events, everything from small illegal underground party's to huge club nights with artist's such as: Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Danny Tenaglia, Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Kerri Chandler, Roger Sanchez, Steve Bug, Armand Van Helden, Rasmus Faber, Sumo, Josh Wink, Jesper Dahlbäck, Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Cari Lekebush, Peace Division, Minilogue, Agaric, K-Alexi Shelby, DJ Sneak, Martinez etc etc...Behind the turntables u can expect Jimi Disko to truly set the dancefloor on fire, always playing for the people and ranging in styles from techno, house and electro. It's minimal, groovy, sexy and always 101% club-friendly!!
