Forgive me for not responding too quickly and for not being on My-Space too often. I am constantly busy working or running around doing things so computer comes as an after thought. Hmmm...and I don't have children yet because...I am a selfish woman who loves her free time and I just quit my job (after 5 yrs.) working on a labor & delivery/maternity floor listening to the newborns in the nursery. Good birth control for the younger generation.
Anyway, I am a drug and alcohol counselor at a local methadone clinic. I am done with my BA.in Psych.-I get to work with people who are addicted to opiates and I do mental health counseling as well. I absolutely love my job and feel that I am helping people better their lives. Yes, I am a true advocate for methadone maintanence. Try watching a newborn go through withdrawal from Heroin vs. methadone. No comparison what so ever. As for prisoners- don't judge until you actually get to really know a few of these human beings. A life full of dysfunction can lead them to a life use of self-medicating addiction. Point is-don't think your life sucks ass until you take a look at the street life, prison life and addiction life.My huge passion is in wild animal life. I donate to various animal socities because I believe we need to come together to protect the creatures who can't protect themselves. Don't abuse an animal in front of me, because the psychotic side of me will emerge. I love all animals, espec. cats since I own 4 of them. They are my children and 1 is an eating machine hog. I haven't been single since the age of 16. Yes, I understand that wasn't healthy, but there was always someone there waiting to step in when I broke off relationships.? Even though I have been in constant relationships and forget what it is like to be single, I have been with my current boyfriend who is wonderful for 8 years.
Anyway, I love to drink, party and relax so life will be fun again. Traveling to various places is another passion of mine. I've been all over the country and would like to start visiting other countries.
