David Blackburn

I was born and raised in London, England. My father, Bryan Blackburn, was a veteran comedy writer for the stage and television in England and the United States.After completing film school, I moved to Los Angeles and got my start cutting music videos. Working with directors such as Paul Hunter, Motion Theory and Joseph Kahn, I edited videos for Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Will Smith, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. I also cut commercials for clients such as Playstation, Nascar and Budweiser.Recent work in features includes ‘ATL’, directed by Chris Robinson, and ‘Torque’, directed by Joseph Kahn, both for Warner Brothers.I live in Silverlake, CA. with my wife, Monica, and my son, Finn.
