My Interests

writing, music (presently trying to learn the guitar), good food and drink, composition, learning in general, technology, travel.for updates on my guitar progress, check out my YouTube videos.

and a good heart.

Music:

all over the map -- though i definitely lean towards the singer-songwriter genre:
sufjan stevens, iron and wine, joni mitchell, imogen heap, tori amos, neil young, james taylor, nick drake, jeff buckley, sigur ros, radiohead, rufus wainwright, diana krall

and i'll admit that when i need a little "pick me up" mariah carey, beyonce or dolly parton are all good bets.

Television:

haven't watched TV in a long time
though, if pressed, i'd stick to HBO.
loved watching "Rome" last summer,
and i just watched an episode of "Sex and the City"
for the first time in ages.
despite what pablo says,
it is an awesome show.

Books:

Trying to make it through Midnight's Children.

I completely gave up on American Pastoral, though I am completely open to one of my more literate friends making the case for it. But I was 100 pages into it and I still couldn't care less about one of the characters.

Maybe I was missing something?

Or maybe I am getting dumber in my old age.
