Hot Buttered Elvis

A big band, a bold band, a mighty band

About Me

..
Hot Buttered Elvis?
First the Earth cooled. Then the dinosaurs came. Eventually, a furious sound was heard, and there was much rejoicing. Hot Buttered Elvis had finally appeared at a Rock and Roll club near you! And you missed it? Loser.
Don't worry, you still have a chance to be rocked by HBE. Just take a look at the shows listing and choose the live-music-venue that suits your lifestyle, fashion sense, and/or aromatic dispensation.
Look pal, just be there, ok?
Vocalist and guitarist Scott Barber (aka "Scat") has been chugging away in the music business for centuries (or at least he appears that way). A school teacher by day, Scott has a passion for writing/performing music, but admits that his day job has it's merits. "These kids will believe anything," jokes Scott, "wait until I brainwash them into buying case upon case of HBE merchandise." Scott spends the remainder of his free time working on his side project "Liver Dance" - a theatrical show consisting of non-traditional Irish step dancing, shotgunning beers, and projectile vomiting. "It's sort of a drunken-Gallagher-meets-River-Dance type of thing" beams Scott.
Drummer, demolitions expert and professional voice-over artist Rob San Pietro has recently lent his signature vocal stylings to Tone Loc's Urban Nursery Rhymes, a new animated TV series based on the gravel-voiced rapper. "They wanted to actually use Tone Loc," explains San Pietro, "but he kept showing up to the studio high. I was in working on my other project, 'Ruminative Misadventures: The Writings of Tiny Tim (as read by Rob San Pietro)', and when Tone stepped out for what turned out to be a month, they called me in."
Documentary film-maker and Bassist Shawn Sharifi, reknowned for his monumentally successful film "Why Hollywood Sucks" is in the final editing stages of his newest offering, a sequel entitled "Why Hollywood Still Sucks". "The working title was 'Who'd I Forget? More Hollywood People I Can't Stand'," says Sharifi. "But nobody in Tinseltown returned my calls. Ahh, what do you expect. They all suck!"
Scott Hedges, lead guitarist and former stunt double for David Hasselhoff, is the newest addition to the HBE family. Armed with more gear than you can shake a stick at, Scott spends his private time taking apart various electronic devices in an effort to "hot rod" them. No appliance is safe - toasters, microwaves, blenders, and electric knife sharpeners hum and pop like never before. Curiously Scott does not sell his creations. Instead, he donates them to various for-profit charities. He is currently working on his career retrospective titled "Who The F*ck Are You And Stop Looking At Me" which is due in stores sometime in the Fall of 2009.
