Influences:As a younster, Heru grew up around the street battles of New York. Originally from Yonkers NY, he has a rich background in music. Conversly the interesting thing about Heru, is that he was not exposed to TV media at a young age and therefore was not influenced by commercial rap until his underlying talents were able to naturally develope. Able to adapt, and amazingly creative, Heru has created a strong name for himself in Charlotte NC. Regardless of setbacks and statistics he has relentlessly pursued his dream. At the young age of only 20 years old, Heru has shown amazing ambition not only in music, but in life as whole. He attends College in Charlotte, NC. Heru also enjoys playing basketball, conversing with friends, and making new business contacts. Aside from music, he is also an avid student of the investment world, investing in everything from commodities to learning the ropes of Real Estate. Heru is proving to be a very diverse artist, infusing hip-hop with intellectual genius. As a child, he was home-schooled until the sixth grade. Some would say this odd approach to education may have contributed to his unique style of expression. While in school he was well known for battle raps. Although being popular from rap, Heru's school days were not easy. He dealt with constant put downs because of his family's financial mis-fortunes. His parents could not afford to get him all the up-to-date clothing trends that his peers enjoyed. In a way, the constant ridicules were an incentive to create more for his self. It is now obvious to see that Heru has risen from the depths to become a true force in Hip-Hop.Hip-Hop is a way of being, Heru is Hip-Hop.
