BUDDHA CHILI is two couples, who are currently building a spaceship on their ranches in the high desert to blast their CD simultaneously around planet earth . The O'Briens, Michael & Jackie O.,drummer & lead singer & the Hawks ,John & Kasandra,lead guitarist & bass player are obsessed with sound & sound travel. Michael created & owns the legendary TOI ON SUNSET Rockin' Thai Food restaurant on the Sunset Strip ( where Buddha Chili is also an entree on the menu) He hit LA & formed LA's first punk band wih Arthur Kane from the New Dolls & Blackie Lawless (later of Wasp fame). He also played with John Entwistle of The Who & kept the beat for the late blues great Jay Jay Bad Boy Jones. John Hawk, lead guitarist, is a professor of film & video at Cal Arts, an award winning film maker & has nine advanced degrees & in his spare time builds guitars & telescopes( this is where his obsession with outer space began). Kasandra is an accomplished concert pianist, a songwriter & composer for numerous film scores. In the band she plays the bass guitar John made for her. These 4 songs on Myspace were coproduced by Grammy winning engineer & producer Jeff Peters who worked with Brian Setzer & The Beach Boys. Jackie & Michael had a record deal with WEA France & famed French record producer (I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor) Yves Dessca with her band"JACKIE O." They, also worked with & co-wrote " Queen of Saturday Night" with The Runaways record producer Kim Fowley (who co-wrote "Cherry Bomb " with Joan Jett). Buddha Chili is currently playing in LA & performed at GOODSTOCK 2007
