daniele defranchis

I'm Daniele Defranchis, aka Ippe. I'm not satisfied if i don't do absolutely different things..... I was born as a rock metal fan and soon came into thrash metal. Practiced electric guitar as a self taught and classical with private lessons by Giorgio Oltremari since i was 12. I formed a band called Random, that went through metal, thrash, then 70's rock and played with them from 1990 (yeah i was 12!!!!!!!!!!) to 2000 into festivals and sweaty pubs in Milan. in 1997 i was admitted to Classial guit course into Scuola Civica di Musica in Milan (now Accademia Internazionale della Musica) and studied with Oltremari and then with Agostina Mari. 2000-2003 i was live-studio sessionist w/thrash band Trauma, now Alterhate (cd "grip of frost"). Again cool sweaty pubs, metal fests, concert halls (Rolling Stones, Milan). 3rd prize in international class guit contest. 2004 DEGREE in ECONOMICS......yeah, i'm mad as i'm trying to do the musician! From 2004 i'm into electro-acoustic-folk-prog (!!!!) ensemble Reverie and played many acoustic festivals in northern Italy (Acustica, Spilimbergo). 2005 got DIPLOMA OF CONSERVATORY, started attending classical guit masterclasses with Lorenzo Micheli, Massimo Lonardi, Maccari-Pugliese. 3rd price in another national class guit contest. Started working with corean soprano singer Myung Yeoun Zoo, with classical repertoire for guit and voice (Giuliani, Sor) and transcriptions, even made by me, from Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven. 2006 Got into celtic-ambient band Iridio as studio and live performings, arrangements and some composing. Played gothic-celtic fests (WGT in Leipzig and Triskell in Trieste). Another couple of 3rd prices in International class guit competitions.
