About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

Hi everyone, thanks for coming on MySpace and sharing my music. The songs were written by myself and Des Tong. Des was the Bass player with Sad Cafe and we've formed not only a great writing team, but also a wonderful friendship. A lot of time, energy and feelings went into our music. I hope you like it.
We had help from very special friends along the way and I'd like to use this space to thank them. In no particular order, Steve Pigott, Mike Hehir, Ian Wilson, Steve Butler, Aziz Ibrahim, John Hopcroft, Alistair Gordon, Grayum, Jez, Pete Coleman & Mark Bruce. And especially Billy Paul, Richie Close and Paul Young. We miss you guys so much!!!xxx RIP.
Des & I now have our own company called Underarm Productions and we try to help young talented singer/songwriters. Some appreciate it and some abuse it. You all know who you are! Check out our new gig called PhazeClub especially for young talent. www.myspace.com/phazeclubthebarn
We also have a wonderful new 12 piece big band project called Rhythmism. www.myspace.com/rhythmismuk. Late last year Des decided we needed a fresh musical challenge and approached me with his idea of taking classic rock, soul and RnB songs that I've been singing for years and re-arranging them in a fresh way. We enlisted Jazz tenor saxophonist Sam "Sargeant Spoon" Rogers and Nu-Swing was born. Amazingly up pops Paul Anka with Rock Swings and proves it can be done. We've now got the band out on the road with some great players involved. I'll post the dates and if you get chance come and check us out. And recently due to popular demand I've reformed The Cissy Stone Band. It's a 6 piece retro soul and jazz funk combo featuring some amazing players.
You might also like to know that alongside all of this musical activity I've taken up painting and will soon be having an exhibition of my works. Watch this space for details............................ Oh, and I'm writing a children's adventure story.
LoveCissy xxx
