DJ ZOHAR (Refuel, Energy Industries, Armalyte, Physical Soul, Blackout Audio Belgrade) .
. . . . .DJ Zohar (Djordje Nikolic) is well known to the club crowd for his
extraordinary record selection and unique mixing style, fullyfied with the
energy and rhythmic harmony.Finder of famous Re:Fuel DJing organization, which had the very clear
idea-to educate the crowd with the true underground techno sound and refresh
existing clubscene with the unique mixture of various electronic forms as
well as active experiments in the clubs, presenting the true spirit of the
90's...At the beginning of '98 Djordje bought his first DJ setup, a pair of 1210's
and a mixer and started making his first bedroom sessions.
In 1999 Zohar already started playing around Belgrade's famous techno clubs
such as Kolos, Akademija, Industrija, Barutana,
Fest, Mondo DC, as well as all-around all major cities in Yugoslavia. He
also had several performances in Macedonia.As a result of getting into the electronic production in the past few years,
Zohar's first 12" released for the famous London's
ENERGY INDUSTRIES label (already well known for the releases of artists like
Chris Liebing, Tony Thomas, Andreas Kramer, Gecko, Electric Envoy, etc.) was
released. With this release, Zohar made the major breakthrough of Serbian
techno at the global technoscene. His 12" was voted for "The Single Of The
Month" in many respective techno magazines such as Muzik, Wax, etc. After
his very successful debut, the more releases follow on Swedish ARMALYTE
(known for Slobodan, Len Faki, etc.), PHYSICAL SOUL, and finally on London's
techno imprint BLACKOUT AUDIO, owed by the probably compromised DJ of today,
Mark EG, who insisted to make his own remix of Zohar's track on Blackout.
His records are now available in the record stores worldwide.Till now, DJ Zohar played with many big international DJ names like Chris Liebing, Marco Lenzi, Frank Lorber, John Terry, LaDiDa, Rob Stow, D.Digger, Pascal FEOS, Samuel L.
