The SkaPunk-Combo KANTHOLZ (engl.: scantling, a square-shaped timber) was founded in 2004 as a punk-trio and was searching the right mix awhile. Inspired by the young Berlin ska-culture they striked a new path. Since summer 2005 they play ska with sundry influences like punk & metal, reggae, dancehall, country, funk, jazz and more. Their music is just addictive and the lyrics give an account of day-to-day problems, being into zing the society, policy and the German State.
The band played many a time in the German capital and the surrounding area unescorted and/or as support of bands like Mark Foggo and his Skasters , Mutabor , YEBO , Tiefenrausch , Skavache , The SKATOONS .
According to the new bandpage the first EP was released in September 2006 and is limited to a quantity of 200. Currently we are writing new songs for next shows in 2007...
