I started my venture in music as a young child, and today my musical endeavors have grown into what I call Chamber of Echoes. C.O.E. is the pseudonym for me, Klaryssa, a singer, songwriter, and musician. As a solo artist, I never wanted to go by my first name, but rather a title that sounded like a band, since I sing, create, write, compose, arrange, and play most of what you hear in each one of my songs.
I was classically trained in piano beginning at 7, wrote my first song at 11, and starting at 16, I delved into the world of music production, engineering, synths, and programming.
Music is the very air I breathe, and I feel as if it is my life support. I cannot think of anything else I would ever want to do in my existence, and I know this is my life’s purpose. It is simply what I am supposed to do. I began writing demos in 2006 and posting them on myspace, ourstage.com, unsigned.com, and various other sites on the internet. It wasn’t until 2008, that when I contacted NRG Recording, that it was a possibility to create a 5 song EP that would not only showcase my talent as a solo artist, but that would also be able to compete with any major-label release that is currently out there.
Thanks to Annette Scott, and Rene Mata, I was teamed up with producers Jay Baumgardner, and Jay Gordon for my debut. They helped develop and shape me as an artist, really evolved my sound by stretching me to my limits both artistically and emotionally, and created a live band on my EP to build a strong framework for my writing and programming to fuse to.
The EP is set to release in early Winter of 2009, and I begin showcasing in March. I need help from YOU, all musicians out there who want to bring this vision to fruition. Reach out to me, and I will give back to you. All you have to do is try. I ask that you be genuinely committed and dedicated, and learn what I have created. I plan on being an artist that thrives and that will someday soon be a driving force in music...
