About Me

Well, I've been here in Kansas City for over two years now...it's still okay. It's ssoooo nice to have four seasons again. We had snow, lots of it, this year. After living in Texas for six years with nothing but ten months of hot and two months not so hot, KC is a nice change. I've finished one semeter of grad school, one step closer to being Dr. Matkin! Or Dr. Krogmeier...soon. I'm an "A" student so far. Didn't think I'd grasp 15 chapters of clinical pathophysiology as quickly as I did. Fall will be busy and there's talk of gross anatomy included in my anatomy class at 7:30am. Fantabulous! Cutting into a body is just what I was wanting to at 7am! Less than 3 months to go until the wedding! So excited and so nervous. I want everything to be perfect but I know something always goes wrong, just wonder what that'll be. The theatre will look exquisite, draped in white with purple and fall accents. The bridesmaid dresses will be elegant and the groomsmen will look smashing! You'll just have to be there! Matt and I went to his hometown a few weeks ago for his parent's 50th wedding anniversary. 50 years, incredible. While there, his mother gave me a bridal shower and there was a family reunion. I think I met over 300 people that weekend but it was great.

My Interests

Wedding plans and knowing everything about human physiology for physical therapy school...that's all i have time for.

I'd like to meet:

Friends. friends i used to work with, friends i now work with, friends from college, friends from high school. (if i don't know you are or haven't invited you to be a friend message me first dammit!!!!)

Music:

i love just about every kind there is. the newest cd i bought was 'anoush shankar' which is from india. so great. a friend from work lets me listen to the top hit cd's he gets from china. since it's not in japanese, french, latin, or greek i can't tell you what they're saying. i'm crazy for '80s music anytime. but i think the band i go back to all the time for great music is VAST. i think my fiance, who was radio dj in college with great taste in music, turned me on to it.

Movies:

too many great ones to count. i roll over for good 'b' or just old horror movies; plague of the zombies, horror hotel, dementia 13, the satanic rites of dracula, and about the best movie i own...the univited(the one from 1944, not those new movies with the same title, they suck). japanese films are great too; versus (great flick), battle royale, ringu, onmyoji(which really seems more fantasy/sci-fi). but if you really want to talk about two fantastic movies...it has got to be 'spirited away' and 'howl's moving castle'. miyazaki's films are just exquisite pieces of artistry. visually stunning with a musical score of equal measure.this looks like a box office smash!

Television:

If you couldn't tell already...yes, I love 'The Prisoner'. A great 1960's British spy series. so good. I love BBC! I also love Glenn Beck on Headline news. i always seem to miss when he's on the air but he makes me laugh. if you can't watch and agree with him while laughing hysterically...i have nothing to say that will get through to you. If Michael Savage had a show...I'd be addicted to that too. Other than that, i like crime shows. something about the mystery of that dead body that always grabs you. I'm apparently "nesting" and have grown attached to HGTV. I feel like a soccer mom half the time but oh well. and you can't forget about the four best words on television..."AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE"!!!!

Books:

Wedding source books and magazines. Otherwise if it's not on my prof's required texts list...chances are i haven't read it lately.

Heroes:

My Blog

finally hitched!

Yep, It only took 26 years but I'm finally a married woman and I couldn't be happier.  Sure, it does seem a bit odd and it'll take time getting used to "husband" instead of "fiance" or "boyfriend...
