Soprano Heather-Anne Burwell is known for her versatility which allows her to easily transverse many musical genres including opera, chamber, recital, jazz, musical theatre and contemporary music. At the age of 11, Heather-Anne made her debut in Thomas Peterson's opera "The Tale of the Rings of Power" with the Grand Forks symphony. The same year she sang for the North Dakota centennial celebrations hosted by the Governor. At the age of 20, she was offered a development deal with label MTL Records of Nashville. She has performed with various groups and symphonies across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Today at the age of 31, Heather-Anne continues the development of her voice focusing on opera, chamber, and recital music. In March 2005, she made her Carnegie Hall debut performing Faure's Requiem. In 2007, she was given the award of High Distinction for her performance of music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Eras. In March of 2008, she toured in Italy performing at the Vatican and for the cities of Rome, Assisi, and Florence. She returned to Italy for the Vi Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra in November, where she performed a world premiere R equiem.She is scheduled to return to Carnegie Hall in 2009. Additionally, she is scheduled to do a tour through the midwest in 2009 performing sacred hymns of the Americas and is in talks to tour the Holy Land in 2011. She is scheduled to appear in a documentary that will be entered in the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. She can be seen in regular performances with Musica Sacra and other private venues.
