The symbols of Zeta Tau Alpha
Our Flower: White Violet
Our Colors: Turquoise Blue & Steel Gray
The five-pointed crown is one of the symbols of ZTA. The wife of the former CEO of Hallmark is a Zeta and gave Hallmark the idea of a five pointed crown for a company symbol. Hallmark accepted her idea and as a result the crown has been printed on each card since.
The strawberry became a symbol of our sisterhood even before the founding of the fraternity itself. An admirer of one of our founders (Mary Campbell) sent her a batch of strawberries as a gift. She brought them to share with her closest friends and this became known as the first official gathering of the Zeta sisters.
Our Open Motto: "Seek the Noblest"
Our Philanthropy :
Breast Cancer Awareness and Education
Every other year members of Zeta Tau Alpha chapters from around the country gather for ZTA's National Leadership Conference. This year the delegates that were selected to attend by ZTA's National Council were the President and Vice President One: Coordinator of Committees. Along with Teresa and Molly, Theta Omega also sent our Treasurer, Dani Faye. Teresa, Molly, and Dani traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to learn leadership skills to "Make a Difference" in their chapter. While most of the time was spent in the hotel learning and bonding with sisters from around the country, each attendee got a once in a lifetime chance to visit College Park where our International Office of Zeta Tau Alpha resides.
Being a Zeta, we pride ourselves with having the strongest sisterhood! We have the best time doing everything from our philanthropy volunteering events for Breast Cancer Awareness and just going out together as sisters, to exchanges, formals, and social gatherings with all the lovely Fraternity men!
