LOYALTY to ROYALTY because ONLY the BEST Get Crowned!!

About Me

We are the ladies of ZETA TAU ALPHA at Cal Poly, Pomona.
Bigs & Lils!
..
Only the BEST get crowned to ZTA, and this is why:*We have the best sisterhood!
*We make a difference: we raise thousands of dollars each year to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; we participate in the Race for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer research; and, we volunteer our time at many local events.
*We choose quality over quantity, but stand as Cal Poly's largest chapter and one of the nation's largest sororities!
*We hold leadership positions in many on- and off-campus organizations, honor societies, and clubs!
*We are proud to be one of the most diverse chapters at Cal Poly!
*Our strong sisterhood and teamwork crowned us Greek Week Champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007!
*The 2007 Greek Woman of the Year, Teresa Tait is a Zeta!
*The 2007 Greek Goddess of the Year, April Agostini, is a Zeta!
*Zetas hold positions on Greek Council Executive Board!
*We were the first and remain the best sorority at Cal Poly, Pomona!

My Interests

Father/Daughter Angels Game!

I'd like to meet:

Strangers we entered.
Friends we became.
Sisters we remain.

"Think Pink" is a registered trademark of the ZTA Fraternity. ZTA Foundation is partnered with think Products to support Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. Visit think Products and use the password "thinkpink" to buy energy bars that will support ZTA and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Self Magazine has recently partnered with ZTA and every collegiate member of ZTA gets a free subscription. Yoplait and ZTA work together in the "Save Lids to Save Lives" campaign where each lid collected donates to ZTA and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The premiere of Lifetime's orginal movie based on the novel Why I Wore Lipstick to my Masectomy was especially important to ZTA, because author Geralyn Lucas is a Special Initiate of Zeta Tau Alpha. ZTA has partnered with more than a dozen NFL teams in our Think Pink Campaign. ZTA and ReMax co-sponsor the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Zetas around the world not only volunteer at these yearly events, but also participate in the race in support of those affected with breast cancer. Nordie's at Noon was written by four women under 30 years young sharing their experiences battling breast cancer. Jennifer Johnson, one of the authors, is a Zeta!.

The symbols of Zeta Tau Alpha
Our Flower: White Violet

Our Colors: Turquoise Blue & Steel Gray
The five-pointed crown is one of the symbols of ZTA. The wife of the former CEO of Hallmark is a Zeta and gave Hallmark the idea of a five pointed crown for a company symbol. Hallmark accepted her idea and as a result the crown has been printed on each card since.

The strawberry became a symbol of our sisterhood even before the founding of the fraternity itself. An admirer of one of our founders (Mary Campbell) sent her a batch of strawberries as a gift. She brought them to share with her closest friends and this became known as the first official gathering of the Zeta sisters.

Our Open Motto: "Seek the Noblest"

Our Philanthropy :
Breast Cancer Awareness and Education

Movies:

Every other year members of Zeta Tau Alpha chapters from around the country gather for ZTA's National Leadership Conference. This year the delegates that were selected to attend by ZTA's National Council were the President and Vice President One: Coordinator of Committees. Along with Teresa and Molly, Theta Omega also sent our Treasurer, Dani Faye. Teresa, Molly, and Dani traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to learn leadership skills to "Make a Difference" in their chapter. While most of the time was spent in the hotel learning and bonding with sisters from around the country, each attendee got a once in a lifetime chance to visit College Park where our International Office of Zeta Tau Alpha resides.

Television:

Being a Zeta, we pride ourselves with having the strongest sisterhood! We have the best time doing everything from our philanthropy volunteering events for Breast Cancer Awareness and just going out together as sisters, to exchanges, formals, and social gatherings with all the lovely Fraternity men!

Heroes:

The Nine Founders of Zeta Tau Alpha:
Maud Jones Horner, Della Lewis Hundley, Alice Bland Coleman, Mary Jones Batte, Alice Grey Welsh, Ethel Coleman Van Name, Helen M. Crafford, Frances Yancey Smith, and Ruby Leigh Orgain
