Ok so here we go...
After my first year dj'ing i put out my first mix cd. the second year i put out my first remix cd so on the third year i thought i would follow suit and put out another one. my first cd was aptly titled "layin the foundation" (04) by a mentor i had at the time. the second cd "breaking the mold" (05) was breakbeat with a hiphop feel to it, full of remixes and pouring raw talent I dropped several mix cds while learning how to focus. In all there are over 100 floating around. My first cd under the dj name of flash had no title and was pure edm and it seemed everywhere i went someone had it playing in their car or at a party hell everywhere i went. there is no greater feeling - my second one (SOMETHING FOR MY HIPHOP JUNKIES ) under the new identidy was largely influnced with the growing craze for E-hop, it featured cuts from some of the souths best remix artists - BREAKS ON THE BEACH was half benefit half self realization. Biloxi took a beating so we threw a party - live show several djs out on the beach right in front of the lighthouse. free cook out- no admission- just our way of saying we are still here. with all the different djs we had something for everyone almost every genre was represented and it was one of the most rewarding shows i have ever participated in. last up is the newest for now... i recently took a halt in deejaying to pursue a "real career" at a psych hostpital. yeah so that didnt go so well so much for that degree soo totally worthless, cant help someone who isnt willing to at least try to help themselves.. off to the lawfirm i go. well one thing led to another and somehow i ended up in a dj competition, havent touched a record in i dunno how long cd players got sold over a month before.. but hey why not.. i was there someone gave me a nudge to get on stage and i got 4th.. not my best set, but after listening to the recording i guess i can still hold a beat. I have only passed out a couple copies of it to select friends but theres more to that story in my blog.
