$corpioâ„¢ started back in 1999. He had just left school and decided to write his first song. He showed a couple of friends to see what they thought because he needed a second opinion about the idea. The song wasn't your normal composed sort of beat. He recorded his own beat box (using his voice) on to tape and sung over it afterwards. The song was about a girl he had a crush on in school. He explains ''I picked up from this song and started to talk about different situations that have happened in my life''. In 2000 he decided to tell three of his cousins what he was doing and what he had planned to be. The cousins seemed very interested and wanted to get into it straight away. After a while he couldn't stop writing songs. Day in day out, idea's kept popping inside his head, and they still do today. He studied two years of music while he was in college between 2000-2002 and had a lot of access to compose music and to create musical ideas. He used music programs such as Cubase, and taught himself how to compose material. He would then create the beat without vocals, record it on to tape, bring it home and show his cousins and get crackin'. At first he was using backing tracks created by offical artists. The reason why was because he didn't have the equipment to create musical ideas. He now has access to compose his own music. $corpio completed his debut album titled 'Risin' Above Da Rest' which was released on 31st August 2007. $corpio says about the album ''This album is gonna be nothing but pure fire. Im gonna blow the people of Manchester away, haha. Im risin' above da rest baby.'' $corpio also has a second album titled ''Dinner Is Served'', which was released in Feb 2009. With not being signed to any label as of yet he has managed to do a music video for 'Dinner Is Served' with the help of a top UK director for a track called 'Back In Your Place' featuring his cousin Ice-B shot back in Dec 2007. The shooting of the video took place in the heart of London and $corpio had managed to get the video played on 'Sky's Channel U'. He will hopefully be filming his second music video at the end of 2009. Expect more projects from $corpio in the near future. The mission continues...
