Tara Joy is 16 years old and resides in a small town in MA, and has her whole life. She has traveled to TN the past two summers to learn a lot abot the business and set her path for what she wants to do with the rest of her life. She is a former member of the band "Chase N' Country" and has done guest appearances with bands such as The Velvet Rose and The John Penny Band. They are now in the process of forming her a band of her own but it's proving to be difficult due to the fact that she is under age and cannot perform in bars and such.
Tara started singing at a church called The Mill in Milbury, MA, where she performed one of her favorite songs Ten Thousand Angels Cried. Then she started opening up numerous events with her rendition of our country's National Anthem. After that things started to take off. She was asked to sing at all of her town's Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Prayer Day ceremonies and other important days.
Tara's favorite thing to do is sing about this beautiful Nation. Both of her grandfather's being veterans inspired her dream to someday travel around the world to sing for all the men who have dedicated their lives to giving her and everyother American citizen this freedom.
Her family goes back to a long line of musicians. Both her grandfathers were also very active in music along with one of her grandmothers, who was a professional yodler. Her mom and her sisters were known around New England as the BJD sisters and performed as very young girls. Her father was also musically inclined and did a few guest appearances back in his day.
Other than singing, Tara keeps hard at work at her school work and other volunteer work. She loves to help people and loves being a part of everyone's smiles. Her friends & family mean the world to her and she belives that without him she would not be where she is today and would not continue any further without all their support!
