I Just Gotta Get My Shit Together......

About Me

Playing as a three-piece means that each player has to work far harder and lack of commitment or technique is immediately obvious. Powered by Duncan Mounsor on drums and Ben Williams on bass and vocals, Noor Ali adds searing guitar and vocals to deliver inspired originals which thrive in the stripped back surroundings, gaining a space and dynamic not found in larger bands.
Highway 5 would like to thank everyone who turns up to gig after gig and "gets" stripped back non-nonsense music, but we'd particularly like to thank Gary Tolley who has supported us hugely via his Fat Rat Productions concept and Andy Davies of YesPhotography (http://www.yesphotography.biz), who has provided some great photos of the band.

The dead and the dying at the Marrs Bar

It's not often I get to do the blog before Mr Ali, but seeing as both Noor and Ben are probably tucked up in their little beds dosed up on Lemsip and anti-biotics, I'll sneak it in before they notice!...

"You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

Someones dialled all the feedback out

5th September 2008 - The Queen Victoria (The Vic) Stroud. Feedback can be a mixed blessing. The harmonically rich feedback of a great guitar through a cranked valve amp will send tone hounds to heaven...
