i graduated from miagao elementary school 1997 and i graduated from university of the philippines high school in iloilo 2001. . .i took up bachelor of science in medical technology at university of san agustin and on summer 2002 i shifted to nursing. . . as we all know nursing is in the job market today and definitely i took up nursing for some practicality reasons. . . and now, i have actually learned to love my course. . . last school year when we had our community exposure in cabatuan i enjoyed working with the hospitable folks there. . .their all nice and i really enjoyed some adventurous exposures there bcoz one tym we had duty and it was raining, to think also that were all in uniform and had a 2-inch high heeled black shoes, we really had difficulties gettin' to our respective households. . .we still have to cross a river so what we did was to get off our shoes and walk with bare feet. . . after reaching our respective households, everybody wasnt thinkin of that 'yucky' muddy roads we passed. . . and when we got back to our staff house, some of us had bruises and we all looked messy. . . and imagine that we still have to go back to school with that messy outlook. . . we wished not to go back there again but it was somehow to test our strength as future nurses and it we've realized it was a fruitful exposure. . . i was a junior varsity player of U. P. high school in basketball and volleyball during my high school years. . .and even had continued my basketball career as a varsity player of basketball women of our school now in college. . . but i guess i had to sacrifice my basketball career nxt school year cuz i will be having duty in hospitals already and its very difficult to be a varsity player and at the same tym having duties in hospitals. . . but am not just that sportsminded as i have mentioned because when i was in my senior years in high school i was crowned as "mutya ng wika 2000" of U.P. High School. . . i was one of the miagaowanon models who donned NONO PALMOS' Miagao hablon creations. . . an international haute couturier. . . and with tito Nono supporting mhe and the municipality of miagao, i was proud to represent our Salakayan Festival in the quest for Miss Western Visayas Tourism 2003 held in Intramuros, Manila last October during the WOW Philippines Region 6. . . i stand with the principle - "winners make losers and losers make excuses". . . i dont want to make excuses because i simply didnt win in that contest but i do believe that i have done my best to represent our town in that pageant and believing also that i have won the best award as miss friendship cuz am sure i humbly have that inner beauty. . . representing Miagao's Salakayan Festival has been, to say at least, demanding yet rewarding experience for mhe. . .but then, what could be more rewarding that this great honor and oppurtunity it gave mhe and my family i could ever deserve? what coud be more important than learning how to be strong, confident and be able to elicit the best out of myself? i would like to thank god for all his blessings upon mhe and i also want to thank my family for being supportive ever. . . certainly, it made mhe a better person! am just a simple and determined lady. . .
