In late 1995, Droopy & Layd Back decided to merge their talents together and created SBD. Working in Droopy's basement off some shit-ass equipment they created a hand full of songs.While listening to the copies the decided to get more a professional soound to their work. Through a friend of Droopy's, they met Scratch G(DJ, Producer, and onwer of Kut'n'Kru Records) On July 5th 1997, they recorded their first two kutts in the studio "Land of the Free" and "Born 'n' Raized". By 2001 they had recorded 22 tracks , chose the best 13 and released their first full length album "SBD-Sylent but Deadly", it got some radio play, not on Denvers Hip-Hop and R&B stations but instead on Denver's ....1 Rock station 106.7 fm KBPI. "Guess what we have is too hard and heavy for them weak ass stations"-Layd Back. SBD has done show with Too Short, Ballen Ass Dame, SPM, Baby Bash, Lett Loose, Mr. Noze, Pure Devocion, Bmw, as well as many more. Now in 2008 SBD will choose the best from 28 new tracks and will release their 2nd full length album "Pain" in early spring 2009. & a solo project by Layd Back in early summer "09" Also Layd Back team up with long time friend Stabdozer (Records 2 Go) and put together "The Mixxalation" limited edition. Layd Back together w/ Big Ace & J.Sanchez to release nation wide "The Mixxalation". "THA MIXXALATION" IZ AVAIL. NOW!!!.
