About Me

Hello there, These here are a few of my songs (and a Jackson 5 cover)recorded in an amateur but enthusiastic fashion in my back bedroom. And as this is supposed to be a "band bio", i'd better put something.In 1981,on my first day at secondary school, i was given the nickname Longfoot due to a growth spurt in the foot department over which i had no control. Whilst waiting for the internet to be invented in the hope of one day being able to own a pair of size 14 brothel creepers, I sought solace in Punk , 2- Tone, Jamaican Ska and Motown. In 1985 i heard The Pogues for the first time and all of a sudden the folk and country music my parents were so enamoured with began to make sense. In 1990 I bought a cheap acoustic guitar, learned to play "White Riot", "Tears Of A clown" and "Cmon Everybody" , and auditioned for a local punk band . I failed the auditon. Nearly 20 years later, after a lot of loading speakers into the back of vans,and trying not to look like too much of a chancer when i landed the occasional decent gig, here i am with a few badly recorded bedroom demos for you to listen to. most are my own songs, some are renditions of other peoples. ..
