I am here for Friends

About Me

.............. .... ....Okay, where do I start when describing myself? Do I stick with the basics like the fact that I'm recently separated, and a proud father of a seven year old boy? That I'm a department supervisor for a large office supply chain?
Or do I go more in depth? Do I go into the fact that, though I'm a somewhat quiet person at times, I love to meet new people and get to know what makes them tick? Do I mention that I'm a bit of a geek (Okay, a LOT of a geek!), but that I still have social skills? Do I let you know that one of my life goals is to be as good of a father to my son as he is a son to me? Do I let you know that I strive to live in the NOW (a fact that my STBX found particularly annoying at times) rather than dwell on the past or worry about the future? That, at the moment, I'm devoted to meeting new friends and to hopefully enrich their lives and mine through the meeting?
Gee...I think I'll stop now, and leave anything else to be discovered later when we talk. ;)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

F. Paul Wilson, Stephen King, Angelina Jolie, Bruce Campbell, Robin Williams, and YOU.

My Blog

Ghosts Were People Too!

Serenity....

Just found a poster of the movie made from one of my all-time favorite shows, Firefly: Unfortunately, it's an Aussie poster, and I don't foresee going down under to secure a poster any time soon. :)

Its Time to Talk About the Birds and the Bees...or at Least the Bees.

"Of about 240,000 flowering plants in North America, three quarters require the pollination of a bee, bird, bat or other animal or insect in order to bear fruit. Since many of our food crops with th...

It sucked!!! No, really! IT SUCKED!!! 'Nuff said. Oh, and that reminds me (see the segue? lol!), ever seen this one? Somehow, I think even the Catholics would agree...if Jesus is coming back, he's n...

Revisiting Ripley and the Nostromo

Tonight, I got a chance to do something that I never got to do the first time around. I got to go see Alien, one of my all-time favorite movies on the large screen. My brother and I went to The ...

Okay, so I’m behind the curve on this one...

I just finished watching Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and all I can say is WOW! Johnny Depp was fantastic, as usual, and of course, Helena Bonham Carter was sexy as hell. A bit unde...

If you want to have access to all my blogs in the future...

Okay, something that my stbx (soon-to-be-ex) has done that makes sense to me is to make a preferred list for those blogs that we talk about things that might be considered private, for close friends o...

A scary day...

Yesterday was the scariest day of my life thus far. Yesterday, my wife had a seizure. Out of the blue. No personal history of seizures, and no family history of seizures. She had stayed home yesterda...

The Raven (Con) Has Flown

Okay, RavenCon was a bust AND fun at the same time. The con itself was (pardon me if you were an attendee and enjoyed yourself) small and a tad boring if you weren't an RPG'er. Small dealer room. Smal...
