About Me

This Is My BioRipp A.K.A Renagade born Reggie Dickerson II a native of Northwest, Washington DC. Born on June 22nd, 1984 was raised in LaSalle Park, an urban dwelling in Hyattsville, MD. Growing up in a fatherless past had a tremendous effect on him as a teen. The years ahead definitely were a gamble for him, making a critical choice that he felt was the right for him. An adamant decision to pursue rap instead of following orders from his family got him thrown out of his home, reckoning him homeless at one time. During the time spent homeless the studio became his home, his comfort zone. Three days straight living on nothing but cheetos and water, with nothing else in your brain but work, the struggle, thats real. The work hes so ardently consuming himself is his most recent project up to date Speaking Silently. Ripp has major plans on attacking each angle of rap, intertwining rhythm and blues, neo-soul, gospel, and even country, not only attracting one particular audience, but all people with an open mind and a respect for the streets. This strategy gives him an edge over most young artist who only focuses on the predictable topics. From street to commercial, grimy to spiritual, he plans to do it all. Songs like "Forever" and "Critical Thinking" is getting a heavy buzz around the metropolitan area. Ripp quotes As a teen, I sat back and studied the rap game. Buying albums and breaking them down song by song and realizing how basic the lyrical content was. He believes rap evolved from hip hop. In theory, the only thing constant is change; therefore rap will probably evolve into something even more dynamic. However, Ripp sees himself solid in its evolution...you be the judge.By: Mikia Clemmons
