Zaryab Ensemble

The Zaryab Ensemble (formally Moshtagh) promotes gypsy culture through the creation of fusion music. The group was formed by artistic director Shahram in 1995 mainly working on traditional music of east. Since 2003 Shahram(El Barbas) has brought together an acetic mix of musicians and dancers from middle eastern and Flamenco background. This ensemble has been performed and toured in many festival and concert through Australia and has been recorded by ABC and SBS radio nationals.Sufi Duende is the one of the recording project of fusion music of the group in early 2006, which was released and launched in June this year. All the band members are currently teaching and performing on regular basis.Shahram has already started composing the next fusion album of this series which the recording of it will start by end of 2006.
