About Me

ADRIAN DAVIS Mr. Davis is well known as both an accomplished musician and an outstanding music educator. He is a native of Memphis, TN where he received his Bachelors Degree in Music at the University of Memphis. He is currently seeking a Masters Degree in Music, with an emphasis in Music Education and Wind Conducting. He taught music in the Memphis City School public system for six years, where his teaching has allowed him to create and develop many music programs throughout the city of Memphis. One of these programs included Overton High School of the Creative and Performing Arts, where his duties included writing and arranging for the award winning marching band and concert bands, as well as conducting the Symphonic Band. All of his bands and orchestras have received both excellent and superior ratings throughout his teaching career. Mr. Davis has also written and arranged for many marching bands, concert bands, and orchestras in the Mid-South and Southeast region, and he also has had many experiences in teaching marching, concert, and world percussion in many parts of the country. His expertise in music education has him in high demand as a clinician and adjudicator all over the United States.Mr. Davis has also worked as Percussion Caption Head for Chops Incorporated Drum and Bugle Corps in East Bethel, Minnesota. He is currently a music and design consultant for the Twin Cities Area Percussion Ensemble (TCAI). He also is the Music Director for the SNAP Summer Music Program sponsored by the STAX Music Foundation in Memphis, TN. Mr. Davis is an accomplished pianist, organist, percussionist, singer, producer, songwriter, and arranger. He has performed with many artists and groups including the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps, Chops Incorporated, Excelsior, Sounds of Blackness, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Michael Buble, Jamecia and Paris Bennett, Tonex, T.S. Monk, Kim Burrell, James Grear and Company, Minneapolis Gospel Sound, Byron Cage, Jeff Huddleston, Darnell Davis and The Remnant, Jamar Esaw and Triad for Christ, Germantown Symphony Orchestra, and many others.He recorded his first album alongside his brother, Ashley Davis, when he was only 9 years old. The name of the album is entitled, "He's Everywhere." Mr. Davis has written and recorded with several local, regional, and national artists, including Excelsior, Annilia Wright, The New Olivet Choir, Kirk Whalum, Darnell Davis and the Remnant, and the Motley Brothers. "AD," the nickname for which he is known in many circles, is presently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
