THE PALE FALL

The Pale Fall is a new project from Dublin/Oslo. The story so far... Cathal Rodgers, he Wreck of the Hesperus/Parhelia/Wereju/Eden Obscured wrote, in relative secrecy, 3 songs that were ready to be put to tape in late 2005. He enlisted Des Howlin (Drums) and Kieran Hynes (Guitars) to come into the studio and improvise drums and lead guitar tracks. Having never heard any of the music before the sessions, the results ended up more than pleasing. At this point he offered the position of vocals and words to Paul Kearns (ex Arcane Sun). Kearns then worked on the tunes in his adopted hometown of Oslo and made the trip to Shays Studio in Galway on the west coast of Ireland in late 2005 to lay down the vocals. The sessions were pressed onto CD in mid 2006.The sound of The Pale Fall can be described as so.... It comes from a dark place, with elements of bands who come from a more experimental corner of darker metal and progressive rock. No distortion or keyboards are employed throughout the recording.
