About Me

I am a very philosophical and introspective person. Hardly a day goes by that I donâ€™t try to put some minute detail of life into a wider perspective.I am sometimes dour and edgy. One thing I try not to be is false. I try to be courteous to others but if they want my honest opinion I will give it to them. I am my own individual, if you canâ€™t accept it or force me to change then I am afraid we cannot be friends.I am loyal to a fault but cannot stomach betrayal, dishonesty or unconstructive rude remarks.I am also Highly intuitive, and empathetic. When mind is quiet I can sometimes see through another person's eyes, metaphorically sppeaking.Often I am hard on myself and others but I always try to do the right thing.I do my best to not be judgmental but I will not hang around those with different preferences or those who are too harmful to others or themselves. (Nothing personal.)I try to be as true to myself as possible. I dislike false emotions and sentiments. I also prefer polite constructive honesty to artifice.I think that the key thing about me is I never stop growing. I am always trying to become more centered, honest, and at peace with myself. I think that I shall always do this until the day I die. (Not that I donâ€™t sometimes make a mistake, and act like a child. Donâ€™t we all?)I have been recovering from a pyschosomatic illness for 3 years. Sometimes, its left me paralyzed. However, I found help through meditation, cognitive therapy, and integrated mind-body therapy.Needless to say I am very big on Eastern Religion and Philosophy, particularly Buddhism. For me there is no clear dividing line between my mind and my body: the two are inseperable.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who similar interests in philosophy, religion, art, psychology, history, and science. Or anyone who tries to be unique and honest. People who are false, disingenuous or overly emotional need not apply. (Please don't take it personally, this is just my personal preference.)Insecure honest people are welcome, though.I would very much like to meet a girl with my same interests. One who is honest, thoughtful and compassionate. One who is real, and understands fantasy from reality.
