Urban Youth Zone is an organization that approaches youth ministry from an Urban perspective whose primary focus is to build and rebuild youth in the aspect of relationship, salvation, and socialization in todays Urban driven society as well as providing Urban Youth Workers with tools to meet the needs of Today consistently.
Urban Youth Zone is a multi-Cultural, non-denominationl Christ -Centered Youth driven force to be reckoned with and will seek to break barriers in what seems to be the cultural divide in todays' church and the spirtual disconnect in todays youth and change the misconception of the Generation X.Urban Youth Zone will be armed with tools that will not only build ministries, and communities, but it will directly impact indivdual family structures in a positive fashion. Urban Youth Zone will spotlight ministries, Youth Pastors, Youth, Christian Artists, Fashion, Entertainment, as well as events that will seek to promote Youth empowerment and Youth ministries. Urban Youth Zone will promote events as well ,so in closing we invite you to get in the zone!
Urban Youth Zone was founded and is directed by Minister Desmond W. Wallace who has earned an Associate Degree in Theology from Life Christian University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Calvary Theological Seminary, and an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently pursing a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University. Desmond Wallace has been working with youth for 6 years throughout his community in the aspect of ministry as well as professionally. He currently serves as a Youth Pastor and Praise and Worship Leader at Living Word Christian Center and is married to the beautiful C.EO. of Gospel Spectrum Magazine Melonie Wallace and they have two beautiful children Darrius and Deseree'.
Minister Desmond W. Wallace is currently partnering with numerous churches and organizations to facilitate the Urban Youth Zone Curriculum to Youth ministries across the country. The Urban Youth Zone Curriculum comes filled with a professional tutoring program, an Sat/Act preparation program, a scholarship awareness program, an advancing the financial future of our youth program, a professional counseling program, a government grant course for ministries, and weekly bible study courses that will meet the needs of todays Urban Youth.

Who are Urban Youth?
Contrary to popular belief Urban youth is just not limited to african american or Hispanic youth, but it is the umbrella of this generation. This generation is driven by an Urban Hip Hop/pop culture. They can be characterized from the cornrolls to the mohawks as well as to skateboarders and backpackers,to rappers and rockers of this generation, so with Urban Youth Zone it is our goal that no youth is left behind because he/she isn't characterized or doesn't fit the mold.
