Step aboard the Ethership Endeavour, and witness just how claustrophobic crew life aboard a cramped Gunner-Ship can become...
Join the passionate captain Nathaniel Vane as he strives to keep his crew obedient, his non-conformist techniques unnoticed, his inspecting officers teeth where they should be (as opposed to the more favourable position, embedded in his own fist) and more importantly, his own secrets.
Observe him and his devoted crew battle for freedom, equality and extra limbs against the domineering Ro-deor, disinterested superiors… and themselves.
CHARACTERS
CHARACTERS:
CAPTAIN NATHANIEL VANE:
The ships Captain. Young yet capable, Vane is resiliant, brave and a more than capable leader. He has no time for cowardice or arrogance, and runs a tight ship whilst maintaining a good rappor with (most) of his crew.
ESSIE MILLAR:
Pilot. A resiliant hybrid of high intelligence and sharp wit. Essie is no at all phased by the man to woman ratio on the ship, and is more than a match for any of the men on the ship.
CALLUM 'FAS' FASSBENDER:
Gunner on the Ethership Endeavour, he loves to fight. He is crude and not the sharpest pencil in the stationary box, and is often the focus of the Captains and Essies jokes, but he is completely loyal to his Captain.
ADMIRAL THADDEUS 'TAD' OGILVY:
Newest addition to the crew, he is anal and pompous. A dubious character, he and Vane have a mutual hatred for one another, which stems from a past encounter neither wish to discuss...
KEATS:
A steam-powered Robot who is the ships Cook/Doctor and Chief Electrician.Fed up, unhinged and sarcastic, he holds a certain amountof animosity towards his Captain. Rusty and old, he often runs out of steam at the most inappropriate moments
COMMISSIONER J E PRYCE:
The absent-minded head of Captain Vane and his crew. He is a paternal figure for Vane, and is very fond of his crew. Nevertheless, he is overuled by his superiors more and more often in recent times, the latest of which is the placement of Ogilvy on the Ethership Endeavour
