About Me

Bienvenue - Welcommen - Jassou - Benvenuto - Aloha - Namaste - Oi!
I'm an entrepreneur, passionate mountain biker, and believe we create our existence.

We are responsible for and create the world around us.
I have been mountain biking (henceforth referred to as "mtb") for 3 years and definitely fall into the "addict" category. I love downhill and catching air - It's like flying! I belong to two mountain bike clubs and am on the trail as much as possible - Can you say, "Road Trip?!" Vail via Moab, Fruita (and maybe Tahoe) are among rides on our extensive mtb/road trip list for Summer '08. I love a good road trip and biking adventure with my boyfriend, JD. I also enjoy meeting other like minded souls who share my love and passion for fat tires and what we we so lovingly refer to as “Singletrack.”
I have 2+ years of mtb video uploaded for the benefit of those wanting to scope 'em out. If you enjoy these videos – awesome, dude! They are comprised of trails that I've ridden with mtb partners on trails around the PacNW. I was more of a beginner when we got our helmet cams; JD had been riding for 21+ years. For that reason, you'll see a variety of trail and skill level - nice for folks just starting out or more advanced riders. I'm not a mud fan, so you will not see much of it in my clips. Not the best thing for the trail either.

If you don't like the clips: Sorry. Buy your own helmet cam and post them on your own site. This is "My"space, not "Your"space!

Beginners: Don't be shy - just "GO!" If you don't try, you never will. Everyone was a beginner once. Wipe-outs, hike-a-bike? No worries! You can't improve if you're not reaching. I've been very fortunate to ride with riders who are much farther advanced than myself. Riding with them has been my inspiration to try and try again (thanks, guys). My scabby legs are my price of admission. I love collecting my first bruises of the season! LOL! Life is amazing!
I have recently launched my third business ...
'cause 'ya know one's just not enough - lol!
My Biz#1:
My day job that I love
I am the Principal of a boutique group of recruiters specializing in Manufacturing Professionals and Manufacturing opportunities across the United States. Most of our clients are industry leaders in Steel, Specialty Metals, and Glass.

I work with companies to find Manufacturing Professionals who think out of the box and take their company to the next level. We specialize in finding "C" and "V" level professionals as well as senior engineers and plant level management. We are the first company manufacturing Professionals call when they're looking to make a move or acquire new talent. I love helping my people and companies grow!

The people I work with are on a mission to take their business to the next level.
If that's you we'd probably get along well.

My Biz#3:
My fun creative outlet ('cause I need more ...)
This has been a simmering thought for over a year. The primary line is comprised of Retro-Americana black and white images. I am fortunate that my family seemed to have a camera with them wherever they went -- and loved snapping away. I had started making my own greeting cards out of them. They were so popular that I created Bella Art.
Being an Mtb Grrl, I decided having a line of mountain bike art would be totally gnar dude, so along came Mountain Bike Girl Art for my brothers and sistahs of the Fat Tire. All of the images are original photographs by yours truly: Mtb Grrrl. I even have items geared towards the cyclists-in-training (wheels, that is!).
All of the cards, t-shirts, buttons, bike bags, etc. are works in progress. They are updated often, so please keep checking back! Let me know if you'd like a custom item (i.e. Your image!). If you commit to it, I will make it happen for you.
For retro-Americana items, please visit us at Bella Art!
For cycling specific items, visit Mountain Bike Girl Art!
Me on the Alpine Trail, Oakridge OR. A true MBO must-ride!

Come on by our Portland United Mountain Pedaler's camp area and say, "Hi!"
Not from Oregon? No worries, dude(ette)! Fun for the whole Globe! We have riders from all across the US, Canada, and beyond. It's great if you want to do more than a parking lot demo on the bike of your dreams. Haro, Cannondale, Specialized, Ellsworth, Shimano, Litespeed, and others brought demo bikes to take out for the whole day (!) on real bonejarring singletrack! Join us!! You can check out pics, video and register at MBO '08!

Will you be in my pics of MBO '08?? Join us!

A sweet taste of Oregon cross country singletrack. This clip is part of the Mountain Bike Oregon Video. The full version is the best NW XC video I've seen anywhere. Visit MBO and treat yourself to the whole video. Wow.
Never thought about riding in Oregon? You're missing out. This is 45 minutes from my house. Get inspired!
Watch out for the treeeeeee!
Me "Going Down" on one of our favorite trails near my home. This was way fun steep and loose. I got kinda got stuck in a rut you can't see. Anyhow: This is some of the stuff we like to ride here in Oregon! I love riding with the guys from my club - Every girl should be so lucky!
Smart girls take guys in bike helmets over gym rats any day!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My boyfriend is my crazy-insane partner-in-crime and a kick-ass mtb'er (of course), hence my dance card is happily filled in the boyfriend department.

That being said, I totally dig meeting folks involved in trail advocacy and other positive people creating life on their terms - especially lovers of fat tires and singletrack.

Who Would YOU Like To Meet?
Want to hook up with other riders in your area or find out what's going on in your local scene?

Become an IMBA member and find your local club via their directory.

Check out the Forums page at Mtbr.com and tune into your local bike scene (by state) or chat with others about 29'ers, XC, Cross, local rides, etc. Mtbr is amazing!

If you're visiting Portland, check out my club's Ride Calendar at: Portland United Mountain Pedaler's and join us for some PacNW riding! We're a pretty fun bunch of passionate bikers and love cluing others into our local biking and social scene.

Mountain Bikers Rule!

Meeting Hans Rey would be pretty freakin' sweet ...

Welcome to Oregon, people! - Black Rock Trail, Falls City, OR
This is my newest addiction!
It's like biker Christmas - Woooo-hooo!

Crazy bikers - lol!

I believe all successful people are those who follow their passions!

Danny McAskill "Going The Distance!"

I am soooooo looking forward to a Whistler mtb road trip!
Woooo-hoooo, baby! BAM!

Awesome riding from some mtb boyz in Park City, UT.

Fruita, CO. So looking forward to this trip with JD soon!

This is a fun little clip from The Weather Channel showcasing some different mtb styles. NW singletrack is different in a rooty mountainous way, but it all rocks. Check out the crazy dudes on the mondo straight-down Moab Slick Rock! Wow!

Ryan Leech talking about his trials course with a bit of riding the completed project. I love that you can hear his breathing pattern in it. Awesome!
