About Me

easybeats studio is a collective headed by Joshua Mantle. Josh has been producing music for years starting out on a 4 track to cassette and moving on to a Tascam DA 38 eight track recorder with outboard DBX units, and later moving on to include an early version of Pro Tools and a modest collection of cobbled together outboard gear. Currently, Josh is rebuilding easybeats studio from the ground up after the theft of almost all of that gear. He can be found teaching a new generation of drummers, singers, and musicians, and performing Sunday mornings at New Hope Fellowship, in Sutherlin, Oregon. Come on in, the shows free and you might catch the Spirit! You may be more familiar with Joshua as live drummer "Josh Skins" performing and recording with a list of bands and projects including Systemwide, Black Angel, Napboule, Oaktown Gospel Project, Bridgetown Breaks, and many more. Josh Skin's drum tones can be heard on remixes and productions from, Alter Echo, Boy Eats Drum Machine, Duke Shatner, Systemwide, Swayzak, Dr. Isreal, and many more. Since 91 he has been a steady contributor to the cultural landscape of Portland, the West Coast, and the ears of adiophiles the world over. Josh has shared the stage with a list of artists including: Lee Scratch Perry, Mad Professor, Scientist, Mickey Dread, Adrian Sherwood, DJ Krush, Slum Village, and many more. Click the link to Bridgetown Breaks to get cleared samples of his drum tones and beats. keep listening and building...Discography: Sampler Slanger, produced by Duke Shatner on Systemwide, Impurly Replied, BSI Records 2004.
