Band Bio
Right-A-Way began their career with Jeremy Tucker on Bass and James Bohon on Guitar. Jeremy and James met in late 2004 at their church. they quickly became good friends after finding they had so much in common (both are pretty much exactly alike.) They first played together in the youth group band at their church.
James was contacted in early 2006 to join as bassist for "Something About Sarai" with Jeremy and his brother Josh Tucker. Soon after, they created a side project called "Graybar," later re-named "Skatlin Yard"(pronounced Scottland Yard) the name under which they would play their first show. Something About Sarai parted ways in early 2007, allowing Skatlin Yard to continue, now a full time project.
Recording started very small; James would write most of the material, record all instrumental tracks on his own, then email the unmixed recordings to Jeremy who would then add vocals and master the final tracks. (These tracks can be found on the "Piece By Piece: EP") Unfortunately for the two, they were not able to secure a drummer before the recording of their first full-length album "She's Fading Now," so James recorded all the Drum tracks**, including the Guitar tracks, and singing lead vocals on two songs. Jeremy Recorded all the bass tracks and sang lead vocals on the rest of the album.
[**excepting "Fading" which features Jeremy on Drums]
The Future of Right-A-Way truly lies in your hands. James graduates this year, so all of the members will be out of school and able to focus on the band 100% of the time... We've had to re-arrange the lineup to go with the availability of members, so the new lineup can be found in the Band Members section.
Thank you all for your support!!
