Seana Harris

I grew up in sweet home Alabama. My first professional gig was as a frontman for a band called The Covergirls. We toured all over the Southeast for a few years and also played everywhere there is to play in Birmingham. While I was there I also played music with Taylor Hicks, Lynam, and Topper Price. I also frequented the famous Muscle Shoals recording studio and sat in on sessions with Bobby Bland.
I moved to New York City in August of 2003. Though I lived in New York I traveled every weekend to the Southeast to perform with The Covergirls. While in New York I was featured on the television hit "Ed".
In August of 2004 I moved to Los Angeles. I immediately got involved with blues artists and started playing with the Seana Harris blues band and the Kickstand Blues Band. I have been fortunate enough to record with such talented folks as Tommy Harkenrider, Jerry Rosen, and JT Ross.
I've also been fortunate in the acting world. I starred in an eighties rock musical called, "Rock of Ages". It played to sold out audiences in Los Angeles for a year before moving to sold out crowds in Vegas. I got to work with Kyle Gass(Tenacious D), Katherine McPhee(American Idol), Jack Blades(Nightranger, Damn Yankees), Dan Finnerty(Dan Band), and Chris Hardwick(Singled Out). After ROA I did a benefit concert of Jesus Christ Superstar working with the original cast of the movie plus the additions of Jack Black and Ben Vereen.
Currently I am working on a project entitled "Kim and Seana". It is a music infused comedy/drama/serial that sends "Kim and Seana" on the road to play music, check out the hottest new bands and much much more! Weekly webisodes are posted at www.myspace.com/kimandseana.
I'm going to be doing some recording at the beginning of the year in Woodstock, New York and I will keep you posted as to how it goes.
