I am a writer/director who splits his time between the gilded hills of Hollywood and the coal rich hills of my native Pennsylvania.
For the past seven years, I have spent most of my time directing corporate videos and regional commercials, all the while longing to tell stories on film. Whether working for Honda, Mazda or Mattel, I have used each and every shoot as my own secret film school.
Three years ago, I began studying directing with Judith Weston. In 2004, I produced and directed two short films (Betsy and 57 Sunny Days). Having finished those shorts and taken Betsy on a great tour of film festivals around the country, I set out to make one more short before moving on to feature films.
I am happy to say that we just completed that short, Dead Ronnie. Im very proud of it and cant wait to see where it leads me.
My goal as an artist has always been to find beauty in everyday things. My stories are about very ordinary people struggling in the midst of extraordinary circumstances.
