If you couldn't tell by my extravagant list of interests, I'm an outgoing person. You might classify me as uppidy. I'll go out and do stuff for my own strange curiosities, usually alongside my partner in crime - Salvi. Itâ€,,s funny that I met this special person just over 2 years ago. We came from different cultures and different sides of the country, but somehow share the most unlikely talents and interests. We have our differences and make up for each others weaknesses, all the while each of us becoming stronger individuals – behold the power of love, haha.
I am very much an advocate of the stage. I have been involved in "Oklahoma", "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding", and "A Tomb with a View." I never thought Iâ€,,d get the chance to have my boyfriend come to one of my shows, but voila – it was wonderful! I am very intimately involved with… water! After 5 years of swim team, I kick ass in the pool! Whenever I'm in or around water, another side of my personality comes out - a far better one. That's why you'll hear me a.k.a. freddy the fish sometimes. Well, I'm also somewhat of a nerd - I enjoy spending the time to study and learn.
Furthermore, I want to be one of the world's greatest travelers someday, right up there with Columbus, Magellan, etc. Maybe I'm getting too full of myself. Anyway, I'd like to visit all 7 continents and take my husband with me! Well maybe not Antarctica - there's no malls there lol. Sometimes I have dreams about all the special places we will someday see together. I was born in Asia. I've already been to Canada, Mexico, Korea, the Philippines, UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany. I'm planning on doing Peace Corps and Americorps after college, so that should get me started on my master plan.
As for my personality, I'm a tough character to learn - even for myself sometimes. But if you'd like to know more about me, keep reading. I'm rather fond of the comedic side of my personality. My few friends would say that my offbeat sense of humor keeps them laughing, and I can get pretty ditzy... Sometimes I resort to humor in sticky situations – laughter is the best medicine! I usually try to hide the fact that Iâ€,,m a crybaby and a sensitive person deep down, haha. I used to always wear a serious, somewhat robotic mask of diligence whenever at work or school. Not a good weapon to make friends… School and work are important things for me, but to some people - I come across as shy. Iâ€,,d have to apologize to a lot of people who never got the chance to know me because of my reservation. Salvi makes me stronger each day, and Iâ€,,m steadily kicking the mask goodbye.
I can be difficult at times (ask Salvi), but my deep loyalty shines through. I don't have many friends and I doubt I ever will, but the friends I do have are amazingly close. I've stolen all of Salviâ€,,s friends, haha now I have to try and find my own again. I find it a waste of time and energy to have "acquaintances" who'll ditch you one second, then talk shit about you the next. I have a hard time meeting new people, but I trust my instincts about the people I come across. That's when my trust gets invested. Sometimes too invested, so I learn that I can make poor decisions just like the rest. However, I mostly give people the benefit of the doubt.
I expect a lot out of my friends, but it's only because I expect a lot out of myself. That's what scares people away for the most part. I can be rather intimidating. I'm kind of a self-taught loner. Yet I'm an open book. I can enjoy one-sided conversations like this personal description of me has become. I can be an excellent friend too. If I haven't frightened you with all this nonsense, I'd like to hear from you.
