Rebekkah Joy [of ONE31]

“Music has always been something I breathed like air,” says Rebekkah Joy, who started writing poetry when she was 8 and began songwriting when she was 12. In her high school and early college years Rebekkah lead praise and worship for churches, youth events and was given the opportunity to have one of her songs played for a radio show in Flint, Michigan. There Rebekkah began working with Melvin Riley from the r&b group, “Ready For The World”. Rebekkah Joy has performed in local churches, café, lounges, venues, etc., in Florida, South Carolina, and in her home state Michigan. She has open up for local artists and bigger name artists such as, Jeremy Camp, Flyleaf, and Matthew West. When she was not performing or leading worship Rebekkah ran a soccer camp for inner city children called, “Soccer Blast” and gave piano lessons to the elderly. The poet / acoustic guitar / pianist / singer / song writer, Rebekkah Joy is now 21, working on her debuted album entitled, "RAW" and is currently attending school for Audio Engineering in Orlando, FL.
